Remprex LLC Senior Software Developer in Lisle, Illinois

What You’ll Do

The Senior Developer will work closely with a cross-functional team, including stakeholders, software developers, and architects, to design, build, and implement software solutions. This role involves collaborating in an agile environment, tracking project progress in daily stand-ups, and contributing to software implementations, including on-site support for Go Lives. The Senior Developer will troubleshoot issues, participate in on-call rotations, and assist with critical system incidents outside regular hours. As an expert in the Decisions low-code/no-code platform, the Senior Developer will help evolve REMPREX's gate product while transitioning into a primary .NET development role as the product matures. This position also includes taking on additional duties as needed to support REMPREX’s mission.

Responsibilities

Software Design, Development & Implementation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, developers, and architects, to design, build, implement, and test software solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Contribute to the overall software architecture and development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

Agile Team Collaboration:

  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to track project progress, update task statuses, and address any blockers.

  • Work closely with a small agile team, contributing to project preparation, requirements gathering, sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.

Go Live Support & Implementation:

  • Participate in the implementation of new and existing software products.

  • Travel to on-site Go Live events to ensure smooth transitions and provide real-time support during product rollouts.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

  • Proactively troubleshoot software issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.

  • Participate in and respond to critical system issues that arise outside of regular business hours, including joining off-hours conference calls for production incidents.

Expert in Decisions Platform:

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for the Decisions low-code/no-code platform used in the Remprex gate product.

  • Continuously develop expertise in the Decisions platform, supporting the team in best practices and advanced features.

Transition to .NET Development:

  • As the Remprex products mature, transition to the primary .NET developer resource for the team, supporting the development and enhancement of .NET-based solutions.

Additional Duties:

  • Assume additional appropriate and related duties to further the mission of Remprex as needed, supporting team and organizational goals.

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Decisions low-code/no-code platform.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visio for documentation and project tracking.

  • Strong experience with .NET development, with a willingness to deepen proficiency in the language.

  • Extensive experience in general software development, with a solid understanding of development processes, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with the ability to self-manage and take ownership of projects from inception to completion.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small, agile development team, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and programming languages to advance software solutions and stay current with industry trends.

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality solutions under pressure.

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for software deployment (up to 25% of the time) and provide on-site support for Go Lives and implementations.

  • Ability to work in challenging weather conditions when traveling for project needs.

  • Availability to work additional hours when required, especially during critical deployments, production-impact troubleshooting, or meeting tight project deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with .NET development and frameworks, including knowledge of best practices in .NET software development.

  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar task and project management tools for tracking and managing development tasks and sprints.

  • Experience working in remote environments, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with distributed teams.

  • Experience working with API’s when integrating with a third party system.

  • Possess a baseline understand of SQL and experience using the language to manage data.

Location

For IL based applicants, this role is based out of our corporate headquarters in Lisle, Illinois and offers a hybrid work schedule. We welcome out-of-state applicants to apply for consideration, as this role has the potential to be completely remote for the ideal candidate. Increased travel will likely be necessary for a remote employee.
