We are seeking a Sr. Lead Applications Analyst professional with extensive experience in Data Warehousing architectures, methodologies, and information delivery services. The role requires strong skills in data modeling, SQL, and OLAP technologies, and Power BI.
The ideal candidate will excel in gathering and analyzing business information needs, designing effective Business Intelligence applications, and interfacing directly with customers to meet and exceed their expectations. They should have a solid background in Azure Cloud technologies related to Data Warehousing, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess the ability to solve complex problems independently while recommending best practices and solutions.
This position will be hybrid (3 days in office) out of Lisle, IL.
Responsibilities
Experienced in all aspects of Data Warehousing architectures, methodologies and information delivery services.
Previous experience includes working with multi-dimensional data structures and OLAP technologies.
Data modeling experience.
Strong SQL skills.
5+ years of experience with Power BI.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in gathering and analyzing business information needs/issues and designing on-line query and analytical (Business Intelligence) applications, which enable business clients to perform their job accountabilities confidently and in the most time efficient manner.
Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions.
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Has experience interfacing directly with customers and aggressively meeting customer expectations.
Background and knowledge of Azure Cloud technologies as it relates to Data Warehousing and other Data Services and Data Products.
Analysis, design and development Power BI workbooks in support of the Analytics environment.
Mentoring of the business users on Power BI processes and procedures and best practices
Miscellaneous consulting, analysis, design, and development services in support of the Analytics environment
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 8 years of applications analysis experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 6 years of applications analysis experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
At least 10 years of applications analysis experience
At least 1 year of lead experience
