ITW Engineering Manager in Litchfield, Illinois
Job Description:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading Alpine’s Engineering and Maintenance function in support of Alpine’s high volume stamping operation. This role ensures that the facilities machinery used to produce new and existing materials run to their maximum efficiency and output. This role encompasses not only driving operational excellence in production equipment performance but includes training and development of all technical/support resources, development of best-in class technical processes and cost reduction initiatives while promoting employee health and safety across the facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead, coach and develop a high performing technical team that meets plant/business objectives and develops best practice engineering processes while driving continuous improvements in production equipment performance, quality, plant throughput, scrap levels, MRO spend and overall facility safety.
Partner with operations leadership to develop Annual Plan and Long-Range Plan budgets to ensure compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects and execute engineering and maintenance CAPEX projects.
Plan, formulate and oversee individual and team project timelines after defining customer needs.
Coordinate activities involving technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems, reporting results and status as needed.
Partner with Alpine commercial teams to support customer needs
Actively support plant safety program by proactively driving safety training, performing plant/department safety audits, conducting hazard assessments and ensuring open safety issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Deliver continuous improvements in safety, quality, and service to the customer.
Partner with vendors to develop effective manufacturing processes in engineering, maintenance, and tool & die.
Oversee Maintenance Supervisor to lead facility maintenance initiatives including building maintenance, energy consumption and general facility contracts by proactively managing all suppliers and contractors ensuring all legal and safety company requirements are met.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; electrical or manufacturing engineering or engineering technology strongly preferred
4+ years experience in engineering and project management in a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with ability to take on projects from concept to implementation and maintaining
Demonstrated analytical problem solving, project management and engineering risk assessment skills
Experience with electrical control systems including AC/DC/VFD’S servo motors, PLC programming and troubleshooting
Experience with electrical/electronic, automation and robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
Experience with Tool & Die, blueprint reading, schematics, wiring diagrams and machining
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and maintenance management software
20% travel
Compensation Information:
$115,000 - $130,000
