MEMS Human Resources Director in Little Rock, Arkansas

The Human Resources Director manages and oversees the human resources functions including recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management and employee development. This position also ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations, promotes a positive workplace culture, and provides guidance and support to employees and management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with senior leaders to create HR strategies that support organizational goals and objectives

Develop, implement and oversee all HR initiatives, processes and systems

Evaluate and update employee compensation and benefits packages; manage benefit administration

Address employee concerns and provide support for conflict resolution

Create and enforce workplace policies and procedures in line with organizational culture and legal mandates

Facilitate performance evaluations and provide guidance for employee improvement

Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with legal regulations

Devise strategies for employee performance and development

Monitor compliance with internal policies and legal standards

Anticipate and resolve litigation risks

Provide reports using HR metrics and data

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or a related field

  • HRCI or SHRM certification

  • ​7+ years’ experience in a Human Resources leadership role

  • Experience working in the public sector and familiarity with FOIA regulations highly desirable

  • Excellent knowledge of employment and benefit laws and regulations

  • Thorough understanding of HR management principles and best practices

  • Business acumen with attention to the human element of employee relations

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build rapport with employees and develop collaborative relationships

  • Project and time management skills

    This is an in-office position with primary hours of 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday. The role requires some degree of “on call” availability and flexibility with scheduled hours will occasionally be required.
