Mechanic- Greenland

Polar Field Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Greenland. This seasonal position offers a unique opportunity to work in a remote Arctic environment while contributing to cutting-edge scientific research.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment, power generation equipment, and facilities. Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. Operate and maintain snowmobiles, Tucker, and Caterpillar vehicles. Handle minor electrical, plumbing, and heating issues. Monitor and maintain facilities, including power generation and water systems. Compile inventory records and submit resupply requests. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty equipment 5+ years of experience maintaining facilities, including welding and fabrication Proficiency with diagnostic software, tools, and techniques Experience with power generation equipment Ability to drive trucks, snowmobiles, and other polar vehicles Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work in a remote, challenging environment Valid US passport and driver's license Field experience is preferred, with Arctic or Antarctic experience being a plus Benefits:
