Overview
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Utah State University seeks an individual to oversee and monitor evening student-athlete study hall for the Fall, 2024 and beyond. The Monitor will be responsible for the following:
Oversee the Study Center on specified days of the week which may include Sunday from 5:00 PM to approximately 8:00 PM as well as Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to approximately 8:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Assure student-athletes are working on tasks, assignments etc.;
Direct student-athletes with tutoring and mentoring appointments as necessary;
Monitor activity in computer lab;
Keep talking, noise, socializing among students-athletes to a minimum;
Dismiss student-athletes from the facility as needed;
Communicate regularly and effectively with Study Hall Supervisor and others as directed;
Document issues and warnings appropriately.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Maturity in personality and demeanor
Professional demeanor
Attention to punctuality
Ability to exert authority when necessary
Ability to work evenings and Sundays
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
Previous experience interacting with student-athletes
Working knowledge of computer basics
