Amazon Program Manager, II, Conversational Shopping in London, United Kingdom

Description

The Conversational shopping team is seeking a Program Manager who is passionate about technology, innovation, and engaging new and existing customers. This is an opportunity to join the high-performing team that makes it easy for customers to find and discover the best products to meet their unique needs by helping with product research, providing comparisons and recommendations, answering specific product questions, and more. This role is inherently high-visibility and highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration and influence across partner teams, PR, product, design, science, and engineering.

The successful candidate will thrive in ambiguity, bringing process and discipline to a highly dynamic and fluid environment. They will excel at managing and influencing broad stakeholder groups, always with a focus on how best to engage users. This role will require excellent written and oral communication skills, data-driven analyses and insights, exceptional judgment, strong interpersonal skills, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for serving customers. You must enjoy context-switching and partnering at all levels of the organization to deliver results.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Manage policy escalations across multiple input channels and drive short term fix strategies.

  2. Partner with leadership including policy leader, product managers, program managers, legal teams and partners to understand policy systems and policy implementations, identify gaps and fix them.

  3. Identify improvement areas and Influence product roadmap for new feature development.

  4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Build effective reporting and deep dive mechanisms using data. Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders.

  5. Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across different teams and departments to ensure alignment on goals and strategies.

  6. Work closely with product, science and engineering stakeholders to prioritize and complete projects within deadlines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience in program or project management

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining and executing program requirements

Preferred Qualifications

    1. Ability to work in cross-functional teams across geographies and set up review mechanisms and SLAs for resolution
    1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
    1. 5+ years of experience in program management, preferably in e-commerce or AI/ML-related fields.
    1. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, particularly in natural language processing and conversational AI.
    1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
