Meta Program Manager, Regulatory Information Response in London, United Kingdom

Summary:

The Regulatory Readiness team works across technology domains (e.g., Privacy, Integrity, Security) and partners closely with Legal, Policy, Operations, and Product to understand and respond to key external pressures that could impact Meta's businesses. The Regulatory Information Response Team sits at the crossroads of Reactive and Planned regulatory requests for information. We are dedicated to working with diverse subject matter experts across Meta to gather the answers to complex questions and partner with Legal/Policy to translate these complexities into easy to understand, yet comprehensive, responses/reports that tell Meta’s compliance story. Regulatory Reports: Centrally manages and executes a global portfolio of regulatory driven Transparency Reports, Compliance Reports, as well as Proactive Reports providing transparency to the public and/or regulators on Meta’s policies, systems, processes and their efficacy. Our primary goal is to provide information to regulators that is accurate, consistent, and efficiently produced with the aim of fostering positive regulatory relationships for Meta around the world. We are seeking an experienced professional with good written communication skills, who can influence a variety of audiences across both technical and non-technical teams and collaborate with members of several functions to draft high-quality written narratives for an external-to-Meta audience. You will be responsible for writing reports and managing the report development process, creating auditable documentation, and supporting the tooling strategy for Meta’s compliance & reporting related to regulatory expectations and obligations. Candidates should have experience drafting regulatory documentation, an in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape, and/or Meta’s policies and practices.

Program Manager, Regulatory Information Response Responsibilities:

  1. Project and Stakeholder Management:

  2. Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, and/or manage project plans.

  3. Prioritize program goals, understand and translate stakeholders’ needs into goals and deliverables, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing joint goals and deliverables.

  4. Establish streamlined communication & engagement models with various stakeholders to communicate project statuses, updates, and asks for input and feedback to ensure cross-functional alignment and on-time completion of deliverables.

  5. Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.

  6. Develop Report Guidelines and other key documentation per regulation/report.

  7. Collect, maintain and update database of all reports submitted/published.

  8. Create & facilitate presentations to support stakeholder understanding and influence decision-making.

  9. Report Development:

  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather source content in relation to reporting requirements, such as information on Meta’s policies, processes and systems.

  11. Craft external communications to regulators.

  12. Draft clear, concise, and well-structured descriptions of Meta’s regulatory compliance efforts.

  13. Gain understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content.

  14. Ensure reports are drafted in Meta’s communication style and voice.

  15. Collect, maintain and update “source of truth” inventory of report data/content.

  17. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the broad regulatory landscape impacting Meta, with the demonstrated experience to translate changes into actionable project work.

  18. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  19. Support business travel on an as needed basis (up to 10%).

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  2. 5+ years work experience, preferably in the digital technology, policy, communications, law, or regulatory environment.

  3. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and proven success influencing a variety of audiences across both technical and non-technical teams.

  4. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across an organization.

  1. Advanced degree and/or certification.

  2. 4+ years of experience in trust & safety, data privacy, content policy, transparency reporting, governance, compliance, or risk management.

  3. 3+ years program management experience in a corporate environment.

  4. Experience preparing reports for regulatory authorities and/or in connection with legal proceedings.

  5. Knowledge of Meta’s products, policies, and Integrity functions.

  6. Experience working on transparency reports, responses to regulators or other efforts to meet regulatory expectations.

  7. Expertise in data privacy, product policy, trust & safety, content moderation.

  8. Experience working in digital technology or a related field.
