Core Responsibilities
Ensure high-quality data collection and publication to LEGO® Nexus (Databricks) in collaboration with Universal Event Collector, Compliant Tracking, and other web tracking teams.
Transform, cleanse, and enrich data to create self-serve sources for e-Commerce, A&I, LEGO® Retail, and other data consumers like personalization and digital engagement.
Develop self-serve dashboards for web tracking and .com metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making across LEGO® Retail and Commercial teams.
Collaborate with Trading Optimization, Data Science, and A&I Commercial Analytics to enhance data products and improve overall data availability.
Champion data literacy and best practices through guidelines, training, documentation, and knowledge sharing while ensuring data integrity, quality, and scalability.

As LEGO® accelerates digitization and data strategy, this role is key to scaling the LEGO® Data Platform and unlocking data’s value. This role particularly drives self-service data products for LEGO® Retail, enabling data-driven operational, tactical, and strategic decisions. While initially focused on e-Commerce, it has the potential to expand into Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for a data engineer with a backend focus who can build and maintain scalable web tracking data pipelines that integrate clickstream, event tracking, and behavioral data into LEGO® Nexus (Databricks). You will work extensively with SQL and Python, designing and optimizing ETL workflows to transform, cleanse, and enrich large structured and unstructured datasets for use across Retail, E-Commerce, Personalization, and Digital Engagement teams. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Data Science, Analytics, and Trading Optimization teams on enhancing tracking methodologies,improve model-ready data, and develop scalable data infrastructure. Beyond technical expertise, you should be comfortable translating complex data concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiencesthrough visualization tools (Power BI) ,bridging the gap between backend data solutions and strategic decision-making at the LEGO group.
You will travel up to 10 days a year.
Nice to Have:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Databricks, and e-commerce analytics is a plus. Power BI familiarity helps in presenting insights, while Agile experience enables adaptability in a fast-paced, collaborative working environment.
