An Industrial Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment used in industrial settings. They ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently by performing regular maintenance and fixing any mechanical issues that arise.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Repair : Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and machinery used in manufacturing, production, or other industrial environments.

  2. Troubleshooting : Diagnose mechanical problems and determine effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

  3. Installation and Assembly : Install new equipment or systems, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.

  4. Preventative Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment, lubricating and cleaning parts, replacing worn components, and ensuring proper functioning.

  5. Blueprints and Schematics : Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand machinery and systems.

  6. Welding and Fabrication : Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or installations.

  7. Record Keeping : Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, repairs, and part replacements.

  8. Safety Compliance : Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work are conducted according to safety regulations and guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.

  • Experience in industrial mechanics, mechanical maintenance, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and tools.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour
