Purpose of Position Positions performing accounting work involve the maintenance and reporting of accounting data. This includes reconciliation of various financial statements and documents, processing of various transactions for payment of invoices or expense vouchers, and billing agency services to multiple health plan entities. This position operates with a great deal of independence and judgment when performing job responsibilities through the application of knowledge related to established practices, procedures, policies, regulations and laws. The accounting specialist is a member of the administrative team which works to provide high quality and timely support to the organization.
