A women-owned, mid-size California law firm seeks an Associate Attorney - General Liability / Professional Liability for litigation defense work. This position is hybrid with 3 days in office/week. Position requires (i) an active license to practice law in California and (ii) 2+ years of experience representing both design professionals and miscellaneous professionals. Position includes a base salary of $150,000-190,000 DOE + annual bonus + excellent benefits (including no health insurance premiums).

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action

• Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior attorneys to provide legal advice

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings

• Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

• Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
