ABM Industries Human Resources Investigations Field Partner in Los Angeles, California
Overview
ABM is hiring a newly created Human Resources Investigations Field Partner role to serve as a subject matter expert on employment investigations. This role will investigate and provide consult on a wide range of potentially complex and sensitive internal workplace investigations. Cases assigned to this role will typically be LOW to MEDIUM level cases in terms of complexity and risk, with all HIGH cases to be handled by the Investigations Team, or in some cases an external investigator. Investigators will partner closely with all Field HR, Industry Group (IG) HR Leaders, internal and external attorneys and field operations, to facilitate investigations and assist in resolving complaints enterprise-wide. Bilingual (Spanish) is required.
This is a Remote-Based role with a requirement that candidates reside within 50 miles of one of the following ABM offices:

JOB DUTIES
Primary areas of responsibility include conducting internal workplace investigations, analyzing facts and assessing credibility of evidence, conducting independent reviews and environmental pulses, summarizing and debriefing findings and feedback, and coordinating with HR, Legal (as needed) and Operations on recommendations for corrective actions and/or other recommendations suitable based on the findings.
Works closely and collaboratively with all organizational levels, Human Resources, Legal partners and Operations to plan and facilitate investigations.
Provides counsel and advice on best-practices concerning workplace investigations. Including strategy, employee disposition (i.e. suspension, reassignment pending investigation) resolution and recommendations for corrective action.
Prepares concise written reports detailing the factual outcome(s) of the investigation, as reported in the electronic case management system utilizing an approved format
Well versed in understanding the differences in ABM industry group operations and uses this knowledge to make remedial recommendations and effectively coordinate interviews as to minimally disrupt operations during an investigation.
Understands and consults applicable company policies including, but not limited to the workplace investigations policy, workplace investigations manual, team member handbook(s), code of business conduct, anti-harassment and equal opportunity policies.
Identifies areas of concern through analysis of workplace investigations, trend reporting and provides recommendations for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 years of Human Resources generalist and employee relations experience
Proven experience leading employment investigations
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a business-oriented field, or the equivalent in work experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor
Earns the confidence and trust of others; delivers on commitments.
Must be able to work independently but also collaborate well with team when necessary.
Strong customer service orientation. Ability to effectively work with all levels of team members and management.
Ability to conduct investigative interviews in-person or remotely by telephone or videoconference. Occasional travel may be required.
Must be able to perform analytical tasks and be detail-oriented to ensure information produced is accurate
Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team, have good business acumen and act with a sense of urgency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking ability required.
Pay: $90,000–$105,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
