Accenture IBM CP4D Data Platform Architect in Los Angeles, California

Come grow your career in Technology at Accenture!The work:In this role, you'll function as the designated subject matter expert (SME) and Lead analytics developer responsible for providing data warehouse and analytic solutions.

Your tasks include:

  • Work with the client team to advise them on best practices for CP4D 4.8 and later (DB2 Warehouse Gen 3, CP4D DataStage, and Watson Query) based on their needs and requirements

  • Review CP4D 4.8 configuration, and architecture in Dev, Test, and Production environments and advise client accordingly.

  • Collaborate with the client team's architects to advise them on hardware decisions, platform configuration, documentation of best practices, and troubleshooting initiatives

  • Expected to have deep knowledge and experience in IBM CP4D 4.8 and later to advise client effectively

  • Responsible for driving towards key architectural decisions and engaging with multiple teams to contribute to key decisions

  • Provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams

  • Help advise the client architecture team on upcoming patches / version changes for CP4D

  • Act as an effective liaison between client and Accenture teams

  • Open, manage and track trouble tickets with IBM technical support and product team when required.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.

What you need:

  • Minimum 3 Years experience in design, development and deployment with CP4D solutions, including DataStage.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working on analytics platforms (Cognos, DB2 Warehouse)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in data warehousing environments

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in team leadership and project management

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)

Professional Skills Requirement:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication

  • Strong presentation skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • Certifications in IBM Cognos and/or Cloud Pack for Data (CP4D) are highly desirable

  • Certifications in APIs/data integration or cloud technologies is optional

  • IBM Watson Analytics proficiency, and IBM Cognos Analytics proficiency at the master level will be advantageous

  • OpenShift proficiency at the master level will be advantageous

  • AWS Gov Cloud preferred proficiency at the master level will be advantageous

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
