UCLA Health is seeking a

skilled and experienced Cancer Registry Manager to oversee our cancer registry

operations. The Cancer Registry Manager will be responsible for maintaining and

enhancing the quality of our cancer registry data, ensuring compliance with

regulatory standards, and providing relevant data to support cancer research

and clinical decision-making. Our ideal candidate is a certified tumor

registrar (CTR) with a deep understanding of oncology data management,

meticulous attention to detail, and strong leadership qualities.

Responsibilities include but are not

limited to:

  • Oversee

all aspects of the cancer registry, including case finding, abstraction,

follow-up, and data validation and submission

  • Ensure

compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards, such as Commission

on Cancer (COC) standards, and actively participate in COC accreditation

processes

  • Recruit cancer registry staff and provide training and

guidance to staff

  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data entered into the

cancer registry

  • Support optimization projects to enhance work flow efficiency

  • Work collaboratively with Cancer Service, oncology

departments, Tumor boards, etc.

  • Provide

subject matter expertise to Cancer Registry team, COC program, cancer

committees, and cancer researchers

  • Prepare, monitor, and manage departmental budgets

Annual Salary Range:

$86,900.00 - $197,300.00

Fixed-Hybrid Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm (PST)

Qualifications

We're seeking a

highly-motivated, independent professional with:

  • Related Bachelor's degree - Master's preferred

  • Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification

  • Minimum of five years of cancer registry abstraction

experience with minimum of three years

of experience in cancer registry team management

  • Experience with Commission on Cancer (COC) standards and accreditation

processes

  • Proficiency with cancer registry software, EPIC, and

Microsoft Office

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and project

management skills

  • Strong knowledge of oncology data management and medical

terminology

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
