Referral Coordinator - Internal Medicine
High volume clinic in Downtown Los Angeles is looking for a referral coordinator to join their front office team! This is an opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience processing referrals
Experience with insurance eligibility
Bilingual in Spanish
MA diploma preferred
Job Description:
Expediting patient referrals to specialty offices.
Completing referral requests as needed.
Maintaining ongoing tracking and documentation on referrals.
Submit referrals to the proper IPA and make sure their insurance is verified.
Schedule the patient appointment with the specialist.
Process 20-40 referrals daily.
Maintain a high level of customer service.
Ensuring complete and accurate patient registration.
Providing clinical information to specialists.
Coordinating with review organizations and insurance companies.
Reviewing referral details with patients.
Answer phone calls.
Utilize Athena EMR system
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Downtown Los Angeles, California.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Work Environment
- You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with many Spanish-speaking patients.
