We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Lompoc, California. This part-time role involves a range of accounting tasks in a dynamic environment. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and processing accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) in a timely and accurate manner

• Conduct thorough account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks and reports

• Execute month-end close procedures and updates

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions for future reference

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, as it is crucial for maintaining and organizing financial records.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required, as this role will involve preparing financial statements at the end of each month.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing all tasks.

• Excellent organizational skills to manage a high volume of financial data.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, suppliers, and team members.

• Knowledge of QuickBooks is required.

• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

• Understanding of accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance.
