Adecco is assisting the Commonwealth of Kentucky with a Career Coach in Louisville, KY . Under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator the College and Career Coach will assist public school students in Jefferson County with transition to a job and or postsecondary pathway, which includes credentials, technical certifications, associate degrees, and other postsecondary degrees through the Everybody Counts initiative. The initiative will provide all eligible graduating seniors in participating counties with a job, post-secondary enrollment, or both.
Major Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement individualized employment and education goals to inform transition plans for high school juniors and seniors with documented Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and/or curriculum accommodation plans (504 plans).
• Develop and deliver activities related to career exploration and career readiness including resume building, interview preparation, job search strategies, and workplace etiquette.
• Develop and deliver activities related to education exploration and college readiness including FAFSA preparation, scholarship application, degree major selection, and navigating college after enrollment.
• Conduct group and one-on-one sessions to support students’ development of essential skills including financial literacy, time management, well-being, and self-advocacy. • Collaborate regularly with high school teachers and staff to identify dates and times to provides services to students throughout the school year.
• Assist students in exploring career pathways through work-based learning activities (i.e., job shadowing, internships, externships, and volunteer opportunities.)
• Educate students on how to access accommodations and services to succeed in the workplace and post-secondary opportunities.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of student progress, activities, and assessments in assigned technology software and systems.
• Stay updated on employment trends and best practices for working with students with documented disabilities.
• Participate in regularly scheduled meetings by the Office of Educational Programs – Everybody Counts leadership team
• Prepare and maintain tasks, events, communication, and case notes updates for students.
• Travel to high schools and special events as required in selected counties.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services or a related field.
Experience working with youth ages 16-21.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities, employment-related roles can substitute for educational requirements.
Strong written and oral communication.
Strong presentation skills.
Familiarity with Vocational Rehabilitation, state and federal regulations, laws, and resources related to individuals with disabilities.
Ability to work with diverse populations.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Valid Driver’s License.
Successful completion of background check process
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (remote and in-person).

Pay Details: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour
