BAE Systems Maintenance Manager in Louisville, Kentucky
Job Description
Join BAE Systems at our state-of-the-art Louisville facility and help protect the lives of service members who protect us. Our Louisville team is dedicated to the overhaul, manufacturing, and repair of major caliber weapons systems and the production of payload tubes for the U.S. Navy. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager. As a Maintenance Manager you will:
Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate technical aspects of assigned projects and tasks involving machine maintenance at the BAE Systems Louisville, KY site.
Provide direct supervision to project personnel, reviews technical progress, evaluates results, and takes action as required.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates approximately 1 to 4 exempt and/or non-exempt employees; provides general supervision to approximately 20 bargaining unit employees across three shifts; initiates personnel actions; ensures compliance with policies and procedures, labor agreements provisions, and OSHA regulations.
Assist or assume lead role in execution of the production maintenance management system to include developing maintenance master schedule and weekly performance to schedule and develop the daily schedule control for production maintenance activities.
Coordinate with other departments regarding master scheduling, facilities, environmental, safety, quality, labor/material/overhead/G&A costs, return on assets, and employee relations.
Develop and implement staffing plans for labor and administrative personnel maximizing personnel, utilization, and productivity.
Directs project maintenance through staffing the development of technical requirements of assigned projects including: monitoring and identifying deviations in staffing, subcontractor projects, material management, budgets, schedules, system performance, support, and production.
Brings overall experience for facilities and maintenance tasks.
Prepares reports for management and customers concerning project or work order progress.
Coordinates work with all shifts.
Share the responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Provide leadership for the shared responsibility of employee development.
Comply and support company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent experience.
Management skills in the areas of strategic and short-term planning, hiring, developing and retaining staff, delegation, organizing others, budgeting, and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks with customers.
Ability to develop a sound and reasonable approach in developing solutions to difficult technical problems at system or subsystem level.
High level of communication skills
Significant interpersonal and communication skills to deal with internal and external customers.
Identify and secure all parts and special tools required to complete work order and any special kitting instructions.
Detail oriented, ability to read schematics and drawings.
Experience in skilled trades or manufacturing environment
Oracle data base or CMMS experience.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
Group facilitator willingness to be hands on and work closely with all maintenance personnel whether on floor, roof, or site grounds.
Process improvement mindset
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Associate Degree in Technical or Engineering field is preferred or six years of maintenance experience in lieu of degree.
Exposure to industrial manufacturing.
Knowledgeable in CNC machining, robotics, and plantwide infrastructure.
CMMS experience.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $90373 - $153634

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
