Eurofins Maintenance Manager in Louisville, Kentucky

Overall Objectives and Responsibilities:
Supports successful preventive maintenance (PM) program of infrastructure assets by carrying out timely and thorough PMs.
Actively supports EHS initiatives and supports excellent housekeeping and campus orderliness.
Collect and analyze equipment histories to support in developing maintenance strategies
Record overall equipment efficiency and document equipment downtime.
Analyze Root cause and countermeasure activities for equipment downtime.
Develop strategies to identify/mitigate leading causes of equipment failures using the 80:20 rule and root-cause-failure-analysis (RCAs)
Lead 5S efforts across the maintenance department to reduce non-value added time
Supervise maintenance technicians to develop work strategies, standard operating procedures, in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of work
Identify maintenance tasks that should be operator owned and works with technicians to deploy autonomous maintenance
Works with operations and quality assurance groups to develop calibration strategies for critical equipment
Actively manage maintenance costs and show reductions according to aligned upon goals and improved equipment performance
Prepares reports for defining reliability opportunities and makes recommendations for improvements
Develops spare parts strategies with consideration to part criticality, cost, and availability
Upholds high safety standards, with understanding of site, local, and federal safety regulations
Develop list of reliable vendor contacts to support in overall maintenance strategy
Lead process automation efforts to support in method and new process development
Experience with building utilities – Boilers/Compressors/RTU/HVAC
Enables business to meet and exceed operational goals by delivering safe, stimulating and socially responsible building environment.
Supports a team culture of continuous improvement for the office and manufacturing environment that ensures safety, efficiency, hygiene, sustainability.
Ensures successful maintenance of grounds and building infrastructure.
Conducts facility inspections and equipment condition assessments to determine necessary modifications, including repair work and replacements.
Complete other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering and/or any other related fields
Experience working in a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment
Proven technical experience leading programs in maintenance
5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively provide guidance, support, and discipline as necessary
Must be cleared and willing to wear a half- and full- face respirator without restrictions if required
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electricity, machine control, EMS/BMS, preventive maintenance, energy & sustainability
Experience with building management applications and SW systems.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, as individual contributor, and in teams in fast paced, stretch goal environment.
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to be on call and overlap with off shifts when there is need
Preferences:
Experience implementing reliability programs
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
Previous experience working in an ISO-9000 and cGMP environment.
Previous experience working with organic chemicals
Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacturing
Microsoft Windows and Excel proficiency
Ability to lift 35+ pounds.
