Job Title: Senior Benefits Specialist - UMC Physicians Department: Human Resources Reports to: Director of Human Resources Category: Full-Time/Exempt Pay: Commensurate with education and experience

Work Location: Lubbock, Texas

Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm (occasional extended hours/weekends if required)

Job Summary: The Senior Benefits Specialist will be responsible for organizing and managing the administration of all ancillary and non-ancillary employee benefits programs for the organization's 500+ employees.

Essential Job Functions: Provide excellent customer service to employees both verbally and in writing,regarding plan provisions, enrollments, qualifying event changes and othergeneral inquiries. Serve as primary contact to employees, plan vendors, and third-partyadministrators regarding benefit plan questions, answers, and modifications. Oversee day-to-day operations of employee benefit plans, including but notlimited to, health, dental, vision, FSA- Health and Dependent Care, Disability,Group and Supplemental Life Insurance, 401(k) retirement accounts, andemployee elected supplemental benefits. Present benefits information at new hire in-processing and annual openenrollment events. Coordinate daily benefits processing which includes but not limited toreview and processing New Hire benefit enrollments, managing qualifyingevent changes, termination changes, beneficiary updates, disability, accidentand death claims, 401(k) rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, loans,[]{style="bac
