Description

We are in the process of recruiting a Staff Accountant to join our team in Lubbock, Texas. The role involves managing and executing various accounting tasks, including processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the Sage/Dynamics 365 accounting software for this account.

• Oversee and project daily cash flow.

• Reconciliation of events and creation of event flash reports.

• Manage vendor relations and accounts payable.

• Prepare customer billings and post F& B sales.

• Post journal entries as required and maintain clean supporting backup.

• Control inventory and FF& E valuation processes and use inventory software to ensure proper controls and efficiencies are realized.

• Prepare monthly reporting package and corporate/client reporting requirements.

• Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• ADP/Workday human resources and payroll processing.

• Develop a strong control environment and uphold the location’s financial policy and procedures.

• Maintain sales tax filings and controls as well as annual liquor license renewals

Requirements • Proficient in handling Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with Cash Reconciliations

• Capable of performing Daily Cash Management

• Expertise in Cash Flow Management

• Demonstrated skills in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledgeable about creating and managing Journal Entries

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Monthly Sales Tax calculations

• Experience with ADP - Payroll systems

• Proficiency in using Workday software
