Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Lynwood, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy of financial records, processing payroll, and assisting in the month-end closing process.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions linked to salaries, wages, taxes, and other deductions for both union and non-union employees.

• Prepare and post relevant journal entries to maintain the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

• Reconcile various assigned balance sheet accounts within the general ledger.

• Resolve payroll discrepancies and account changes independently.

• Prepare and process expense reports as well as monthly reimbursements.

• Work closely with Department Accountants on account reconciliations.

• Assist in preparing for internal and external audits.

• Conduct bank reconciliation for payroll related accounts.

• Analyze payroll reports to identify trends.

• Participate in special projects and assignments as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations.

• Knowledge and understanding of General Ledger.

• Ability to accurately create and manage Journal Entries.

• Capability to handle Month End Close.

• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is required.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and organization skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Previous experience in the Wholesale Distribution industry is advantageous.

• Strong ethics, with a commitment to company values.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
