This position will be based in Macquarie Park on a hybrid working arrangement & will sit under the Site Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) division working directly under the Global Infrastructure and Operations organisation.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Serve as point of contact for smart hands and feet for I&O activities at the site

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within IT and Managed Services Providers to deliver IT services to local and regional businesses

  • Manage and coordinate local I&O delivery and implementation of site infrastructure & services

  • Provide onsite support for troubleshooting, diagnostics, escalation and maintenance of local and regional infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted IT operations

  • Coordination with vendors to obtain quotations and delivery of goods and services

  • Raise procurement for goods and services as needed

  • Assess and prioritize site specific or regional operational demands

  • Lead or coordinate IT efforts to see through local projects from inception to completion

  • Evaluate the use of vendors over own effort during assessment of IT activities

  • Educate I&O services and capabilities, assist in driving technology adoption, leveraging I&O solutions

  • Educate customers on Global IT policies, standards, and assist with engagement process

  • Adhere to standards for infrastructure deployments at local sites

  • Maintain existing site infrastructure operations metrics through timely completion of tickets

  • Serve as a knowledgeable subject matter expert to provide insight on local IT infrastructure

  • Responsible for onsite logistics of infrastructure assets at assigned sites

  • Build relationships with key onsite stakeholders to enable a great customer experience and capture any concerns affecting infrastructure services performance

  • Foster strong relationships with local and regional business contacts and IT stakeholders

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, ensuring their needs and heard and addressed promptly, escalating as appropriate

  • Serve as a partner with Service teams to support customer in service deployments, change management efforts, technology transition and accelerate adoption initiatives

  • Assist in lifecycle management initiatives of site related infrastructure related assets

  • Housekeep and audit IT assets when necessary

  • Assist with installation and maintenance of physical infrastructure assets at assigned locations

  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by Management

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Must Have

  • Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. 2-3+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, managing and supporting networks, servers, storages and backup solutions

  • Experience supporting end user hardware, i.e. devices and peripherals

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper or Dell products

  • Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Nice To Have

  • Strong professional work ethic with an ability to deliver results with minimal supervision

  • Is creative and adaptable with the ability to effectively coach and lead in a rapidly changing environment

  • Is intellectually curious and understands the responsibility of continuous learning

  • CCNA certification or equivalent

  • Knowledge of cloud and on-premise data centre services

  • Experience in managing UPS, power supply and cabling

  • Experience in leading or coordinating IT projects

  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere

  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts

  • Experience with audio/visual and unified communications, backend and end points

  • Experience working with Incident, Request, Change and Problem Management and Reporting (Knowledge of ServiceNow would be a strong advantage)

  • Experience with applying ITIL standards and processes
