Position Overview:
This position provides essential on-site support to U.S. Army and NATO training missions by offering key technical coordination and project management for the FOCUS Center. The Coordinator/Project Manager will manage the positioning, maintenance, sustainment, lifecycle, and repair of Army Training Devices across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa under the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) contract. This includes managing all existing systems and simulators, as well as responding to emerging needs.Key responsibilities involve working with the 7th Army Training Command (ATC) and Training Support Activity Europe (TSAE) to coordinate scheduling, funding, and executing training. The role includes aligning with various Task Description Letters (TDLs), such as JMRC Mission Support and Live Training Device Maintenance, and ensuring the proper execution of lifecycle management, system sustainment, and repair for these systems.The FOCUS Center Coordinator / Project Manager will also coordinate between ATC/TSAE and PEO-STRI program managers, ensuring all systems are properly maintained and identifying any new requirements for training devices. This requires proactive communication with the customer, proposal of solutions, and coordination of funding if necessary. Additionally, the Coordinator/Project Manager will contribute to writing and revising TDLs annually.This role is focused on ensuring that all hardware lifecycle projects, software, and system integration efforts are managed effectively across the region. The position specifically requires in-depth knowledge of the JMRC-IS, the largest system in the region, and its various sub-systems. The Coordinator will be a key member of the team, aligning with the broader engineering and software teams to manage integration and synchronize with yearly training and security schedules.
Summary of Duties:
Coordinating with the 7th ATC/TSAE for scheduling, lifecycle management, and system support across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Managing hardware lifecycle replacement, system integration, and the sustainment of systems like the JMRC-IS.
Understanding and managing emerging customer requirements to ensure systems meet training needs.
Contributing to the annual revision of TDLs to meet operational and training goals.
Identifies funding, resource, time shortfalls and develops plans to correct them.
Travel (10%) for meetings, site inspections, and coordination with subcontractors, with most meetings held via Teams.
Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience OR;
Associate’s degree and seven years related experience OR;
A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
11 years of related experience
AND
Understands U.S. DoD language of operations, processes and standards, to include acronyms, abbreviations, and terminology
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English, to include the ability to comprehend and interpret electronic and technical data IAW American National Standards (ANSI) format and U.S. Military Standards
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET security clearance
Project Management Certificate (PMP or CAPM) or equivalent company internal Project Management certificate.
