JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This position is responsible for the maintenance of all golf course equipment at the University Ridge Golf Course, including gasoline and diesel engines, dump trucks, loader tractors, mowers, and small engine equipment. The University Ridge has 70 varying types of equipment and vehicles to maintain. This position is responsible for adjusting and sharpening of cutting units, scheduling and implementing preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns, maintaining parts inventories, and keeping equipment records, all within the prescribed budget and allotted time. This position communicates regularly with supervisory staff to prioritize equipment adjustment, maintenance, and repair based on specific goals and conditions. Responsibilities: Performs diagnosis, maintenance and repairs to automotive vehicles, small engines, large/agricultural vehicles and related equipment to ensure effective functioning of institutional vehicles and equipment. 50% Inspects, maintains, and repairs complex parts and systems for small, automotive, and large-engine vehicles and equipment under general supervision to ensure optimal and safe operation 15% Identifies and troubleshoots complex vehicle and small-engine issues and collaborates with work unit staff to resolve issues 10% Documents completed maintenance and repairs according to established policies and procedures 5% Serves as a point of contact for individuals providing information and updates about vehicle and small-engine maintenance and repairs 20% Maintains, repairs, and sharpens reel and rotary cutting units associated with various golf course mowing equipment.
