JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR, https://ictr.wisc.edu/) supports the translation of research findings from experimental settings into clinical and community practice. We do this by supporting the career development of researchers through training and educational programs, and by providing a range of services that assist researchers with the development and delivery of their research projects. ICTR supports two major programs for researchers in training: the TL1 NRSA Trainee Program for those working on their PhD or postdoctoral work, and the KL2 Scholars Program for senior post-doctoral fellows and early career faculty. These trainees are a vibrant group of physicians, biomedical engineers, nurses, pharmacists, veterinarians, and research scientists who are all working on projects that advance human health. The KL2/TL1 Program Manager will work closely with the ICTR Director of Workforce Development (direct supervisor), the faculty directors of the KL2 and TL1 programs, and with colleagues in ICTR to administer these programs while contributing ideas for strategic growth and improvements. Details about position responsibilities: Project Management -Serve as administrative leader for the KL2 and TL1 Programs, including being the primary contact for applicants, trainees, scholars, and mentors. -Efficiently manage activities for trainee recruitment, reviews and interviews, appointments to grants, and twice annual progress meetings with trainees and scholars. -Develop and coordinate monthly seminar sessions for the KL2 program and trainings for the TL1 program. -Assist with trainee evaluation; curation of trainee and scholar productivity and career outcomes; and developing content for federal grant progress reports and grant renewals. Scholar and Trainee Relations -Build and nurture ongoing relationships with trainees and scholars. -Provide service and program guidance that is supportive of trainee career goals.
