The Corporate Brand and Public Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining Optum Philippine’s corporate brand image and identity.

The role will focus on strengthening the stature of the external brand in the geography and amongst key stakeholders by ensuring proactive engagement at leading industry associations, government and academic and healthcare partners to build awareness, credibility and thought leadership.

The role is also expected to work with members of the leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development - Crafting and implementing strategies to enhance and maintain the Optum's brand image and positioning in the market

  • Media Relations - Building and maintaining relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure positive coverage for the company

  • Press Releases - Crafting and distributing press releases and other communication materials to announce company news and updates

  • Crisis Management - Handling communication during crises or negative events to protect and manage the company's reputation

  • Event Planning - Organizing and overseeing events, press conferences, and other public-facing activities to promote the company's image and objective

  • LinkedIn Management - Managing the company’s LinkedIn presence and ensures it aligns to the overall PR strategy

  • Supports both Philippines and Puerto Rico

  • This role is an individual contributor

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years total experience in Brand and Marketing

  • 5+ years experience as Corporate Brand and Public Relations Manager

  • Experience in supporting mult-geo and cross functional teams is an advantage

  • Solid strategic thinking, creativity, communication and writing skills, along with experience in marketing, brand management, public relations, and LinkedIn management

  • Solid writing skills, media savvy, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations

  • Need to be adept at strategic planning and relationship building

  • Proven excellent Communication skills

  • Willing to report onsite 3x a week and work on mid shift (3PM-12AM)

  • Willing to work in Makati
