Triangle Inc. Associate Director of Residential Services in Malden, Massachusetts
Position: Associate Director of Residential Services
Reports to : Director of Residential Services
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Malden, MA

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain administrative direction strategic growth and overall coordination of our Residential programs and Individualized Staffing Supports (ISS) programming
Oversee development of our ISS residential programming with staff supervision
In conjunction with our Quality Assurance Department complete mock audits per site.
Create, implement, and enforce policies and best practices that ensure optimal treatment, health, advancement, and safety of residents. Ensure that the homes/apartments are safe, clean, well-organized, and maintained in accordance with all local state and federal regulations
Periodically review Program Managers meeting minutes from supervision meetings conducted with staff. Provide Program Manager with feedback regarding minutes and supervision style.
Review all performance evaluations of assigned staff
Ensure Program Managers have conducted program specific orientations (using the checklist) for all employees working in your assigned programs
Assist Program Managers with staff scheduling as necessary.
Instruct Program Managers to remove staff from the schedule if required trainings have expired.
Appoint a qualified Human Rights Officer at each assigned program
Review monthly financial statements for accuracy and monitor expenses at assigned programs.
Ensure that all assigned duties, and complete appropriate and timely documentation
Monitor and develop appropriate training processes that ensure continuity of program quality and administration
Demonstrate working knowledge of best practices that ensure a high level of comprehensive service provision to consistently meet and exceed standards
Oversee the development and training of staff on department policies and procedures
Review all critical incidents for appropriate documentation and follow-up.
Intervene in crisis situations as needed.
Oversee HCSIS and all external reporting within in residential services.
Membership on Triangles Senior Staff, Positive Behavioral Supports Committee, Human Rights Committee, and any other meetings as needed
Attend monthly residential Managers’ Meetings and facilitate as assigned
Work closely with the Director of Quality Assurance and other departmental team members to ensure successful DDS OQE (Office of Quality Enhancement) surveys, licensing and other quality assurance requirements
Provide emergency coverage and on-call support when needed
Utilize discipline procedures as necessary, consulting with the Director of Human Resources
Provide secondary on-call coverage for all residential programs on a rotating basis (approximately once every 4 weeks).
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services or related field; preferred
Experience in Residential Program Management
Good working knowledge of all applicable DDS Regulations, preferred
Proven leadership, organizational and planning skills
Ability to counsel, coach and inspire teamwork and cooperation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled at problem solving, developing solutions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Language Skills
Ability to clearly communicate
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and write documents.
Ability to respond and navigate common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies, or family members.
