Saint-Gobain Compliance Investigator in MALVERN, Pennsylvania

As a member of the Saint-Gobain’s Compliance team within the Law Department, the Compliance Investigator will be responsible for investigating complaints from various sources that represent potential legal or policy violations. The role will support all SGNA businesses in the United States and Canada, interacting with all levels of the business though investigations. The role will also be responsible for working with various internal stakeholder groups (Legal, HR, Finance, Communications, etc.) based on the category and severity of the alleged misconduct to be investigated.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Investigate all assigned employee complaints with minimal supervision in a prompt, thorough, and fair manner

  • Summarize investigation findings in thorough written reports following internal guidelines and formatting

  • Make findings regarding investigated allegations and consult with internal stakeholders regarding investigation findings

  • Use experience and sound judgment to mitigate risk and weigh the importance and validity of investigation information to support investigation findings

  • Ability to convey empathy, patience, discretion, and active listening skills when investigating and discussing sensitive issues with employees and stakeholders

  • Proactively identify ways to prevent or reduce employee relations issues through the implementation of additional policies and procedures, training, and communications

  • Thoroughly and accurately track investigations and disciplinary actions in centralized internal systems, including BKMS, and assist with reporting on trends indicated in data

  • Follow best practices on documentation and maintain records as legally required

  • Periodically perform investigation-related training to sections of the business, as directed or required

  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in HR, Business, or related field is preferred.

  • JD is preferred, but not required

  • 5+ years of experience in employee relations, ethics and compliance, security, fraud, law enforcement, prosecutorial or related role.

  • Focused experience with conducting internal investigations

  • Strong problem solving and investigatory skills with the ability to research information and objectively analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.

  • Strong listening, interviewing, analysis, and writing skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within an organization, as well as the ability to create and summarize detailed written reports.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • High level of integrity and objectivity to ensure proper outcomes are obtained and confidentiality is maintained.

  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws (both State and Federal) and regulations (for example, ADA, EEO, FMLA), as well as the ability to appropriately interpret and apply policies, laws and business practices when addressing employment matters.

  • Fluency in Spanish and or French is a nice to have, but not required.

  • Familiarity with data analytics software (Tableau or similar software) is strongly preferred.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $99,900 – $154,800 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $114,885 to $178,020. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
