About the role The Ethics & Compliance Vice President will be member of the leadership team of Balfour Beatty Investments' Ethics & Compliance organization and will assist with the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the Balfour Beatty U.S. Ethics & Compliance Program. Primary duties will include developing and executing the Ethics and Compliance Training and Communication Plan; assessing, revising, and overseeing the implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures; providing guidance to business stakeholders as a compliance subject matter expert; measuring and preparing internal reports on the maturity and success of the Program; and undertaking and supporting other critical Ethics and Compliance-related initiatives. The position will report to the Balfour Beatty Investments Chief Compliance Officer. You may be eligible for a $500 net sign on bonus to be paid out in your first paycheck What you'll be doing Develop and execute the Compliance Training & Communications Plan to promote and embed a culture of compliance within the organization Assess, revise, and implement compliance-related policies and procedures Support the day-to-day management of the Ethics & Compliance Program and execution against the Compliance Strategic Plan Support internal and external reporting and engagement with stakeholders and regulators Serve as a subject matter expert on Compliance and promote the program and its goals to the workforce Drive the continuous improvement of the Ethics & Compliance program through initiatives and program enhancements Who we're looking for Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred but not required. BA/BS degree required. Juris Doctor preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Paralegal studies, or related field plus certification in Paralegal studies preferred. Minimum of 10 years ethics of relevant work experience Minimum of 2 years in an in-house Ethics & Compliance role Experience developing, implementing, and/or enhancing corporate compliance programs and knowledge of comp iance best practices. Experience with the design and execution of compliance-related trainings and communications. Demonstrated ethics and integrity, with clear understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, Code of Ethics, and policies. The Ethics & Compliance VP must walk the talk in terms of integrity, courage, and candor, as well as active listening with a variety of corporate functions. An exceptional ability to collaborate and communicate with others, turn early-stage ideas or concepts into final deliverables, work with newer technologies, be team focused, and with strong analysis and project management skills A self-starter who can manage their own time and proactively seeks and executes activities that contribute to the development of the function Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and training skills required. Must have a proven record of directly building, managing, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including members of senior management. Must be in possession of an active and valid driver's license Travel min is expected to be 20%
