Eastern Connecticut Health Network Finance Manager, Home Health & Hospice in Manchester, Connecticut
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Manager oversees the accounting and financial reporting functions for our Home Health and Hospice division as well as the financial activities related to the management agreement for the Waterbury Surgery Center and assigned joint ventures. The Finance Manager ensures the accurate financial management of the organization’s operations, drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and best practices. The Finance Manager works closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes, enabling the continued growth and sustainability of the Home Health and Hospice services as well as other subsidiaries as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) to eight (8) years of accounting and finance supervisory experience, preferable in healthcare.

Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for the Home Health, Hospice, and ASC operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Home Health, Hospice, and ASC operations.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for Home Health, Hospice, and ASC divisions, collaborating with department heads to set financial goals and track performance.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for operational improvement in the Home Health, Hospice, and ASC departments.
Ensure accurate financial reporting related to the ASC management agreement, ensuring that all terms and conditions are adhered to, including revenue sharing, cost allocations, and performance metrics.
Coordinate with external auditors during audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for all departments, including ASC operations.
Monitor cash flow for the Home Health, Hospice, and ASC divisions, and manage accounts payable/receivable processes to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
Oversee compliance with healthcare industry standards, including billing practices and reimbursement rates for Home Health, Hospice, and ASC services, as well as other relevant state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with leadership to develop pricing models and financial strategies for services in the Home Health, Hospice, and ASC departments.
Manage and ensure proper financial administration of the ASC management agreement, including tracking management fees, costs, and revenue-sharing arrangements.
Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations across all divisions.
Maintain accurate records and oversee the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations for the Home Health, Hospice, and ASC operations.
Assist with the development of financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective operations across Home Health, Hospice, and ASC services.
Responsible for revenue cycle optimization and provide input for improvement as needed
Function as liaison between Central Business Office, Prospect Home Health, Hospice and Private Duty Agencies and Billing Company
Supervisor the accounting staff as well as the accounts receivable staff
