  Job Description

Job Summary:

This role applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Compiles and analyzes data to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.

Job Duties Include:

•

Provide hands-on transactional activity throughout the accounting cycle for proper accounting treatment

•

Review and post invoices to fixed assets module, maintain subledger for fixed-assets and post depreciation / amortization on a monthly basis

•

Key contributor in the monthly/annual close process; prepares analyses, reconciliations, and related journal entries

•

Review monthly sales-operations commission calculations, prepare commission journal entries, maintain amortization waterfall schedules, and month reconciliations

•

Prepares annual financial audits, including preparation files and provision of supporting documents to the external auditors

•

As a subject matter expert, partner with cross-functional business partners such as sales, service operations, legal, and product teams, in respect to a variety of company initiatives (e.g. system enhancement, and process improvement)

•

Assess, improve, implement, and monitor key processes and controls

•

Supports Manager in all functions relative to the monthly close

•

Be a subject matter expert on technical accounting matters and research

•

Maintain and/or remediate internal controls or problematic areas of accounting operations

•

Key contributor in special projects and resolution of complex issues as needed

•

Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements

•

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting from an accredited institution

•

5 - 7 years of experience in public practice or technical accounting roles

•

CPA is preferred

•

Highly proficient in MS Excel.

•

NetSuite, and SalesForce experience (a plus)
