EMCOR Group Warehouse Worker in Manhattan, Kansas
Description
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Following directions
Loads material onto trucks and/or trailers
Unloading delivery trucks
Responsible for accuracy on all outgoing deliveries
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Acts as a substitute for Warehouse Manager as required
Follow workplace safety procedures and GWP practices
Attitude is expected to be positive, motivated and focused at all times
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Willingness to work flexible hours, normal hours are M-Th 9:00-5:30, Fri 8:00-4:00
Experience with maintenance/operation of basic tools and equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to operate a forklift
Minimum 1 year mechanical construction experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Self-starter
Extremely reliable
Organized
Excellent communication skills
Moderate Computer Skills
Knowledge of basic tools
Ability to work well in a team
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work is normally performed in a warehouse environment
Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
Work environment involves moderate exposure to construction warehouse hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
