Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for our 2nd shift, which runs from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This role involves operating and adjusting various machines to produce and inspect drive belts. The position offers potential career progression through three levels.

Responsibilities

  • Operate punch presses and assembly machines to produce belts and belt segments, making necessary adjustments to meet quality criteria.

  • Inspect various types and sizes of drive belts using motorized inspection stations, and set up and maintain ink jet printers.

  • Package drive belts by setting up semi-automatic coiling machines, feeding belts, and accurately labeling and identifying finished packages.

  • Maintain quality standards by monitoring product specifications, performing quality checks, and making equipment adjustments.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist the team as needed.

  • Restring stretching equipment as necessary.

  • Perform other tasks within the department as required.

  • Maintain and promote company values and behaviors at all times.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production, machine operation, general production, general labor, assembly, inspection, and CNC.

  • Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.

  • High school diploma required if no prior experience. Not required with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Any production or machine operating experience is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Open to candidates with strong work experience in other industries who have a genuine interest in manufacturing and a quick learning ability.

Work Environment

The position is within a manufacturing environment where safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe shoes/boots are required. The facility is climate-controlled, although it may feel slightly warmer due to the molding machines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.22 - $21.22/hr.
