Data Recognition Corporation, Maple Grove MN Sr. Business Analyst This is a full-time regular employee role, not contract or consult Company cannot provide sponsorship for this position No Agencies, Please Sr. Business Analyst Summary: The Sr. Business Analyst works as part of a project team to gather business requirements and create functional specifications needed to automate and re-engineer business processes to meet or exceed customer expectations. Business Analysts work primarily on more complex business processes or projects new to the company or division. These typically require business process re-engineering expertise and the ability to guide the approach and process for requirements gathering, business case development, and JAD sessions. Provide estimates to complete projects, identify and track scope changes, provide coordination between DRC departments, act as a liaison between DRC and the end clients (both internal and external), and provide input to schedules. May also manage updates to schedules, facilitate/lead team meetings, and coach, mentor or provide work direction. Essential Responsibilities: Meet with various business partners to gather and document requirements. Interact with developers, project managers, quality analysts, and architects to understand software and processes. Provide recommendations developing and utilizing use cases, charts, etc. Provide necessary components to development team. Translate user and/or systems requirements into functional technical specifications. Write and maintain detailed systems documentation, including user manuals and technical manuals Act as liaison between developers, architects, and end users to ensure technical compatibility and satisfaction Ability to effectively make written and oral presentations to end users and senior management staff Basic Qualifications: 5+ years Business Analyst experience 5+ years' experience with requirements gathering tools/techniques Experience with requirements gathering tools/techniques, developing user stories and documentation Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work successfully both independently and in teams Experience with business-process redesign Experience working in multi-diverse environments (agile and/or waterfall, etc) Experience with process re-engineering, quality process improvement techniques, business project modeling techniques Build and maintain relationships with business customers, internal customers and business units.
