Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs a Manager, Capital Engineering, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Responsible for Managing and Leading Projects, Project Managers, and Project Engineers in alignment with the Solventum corporate Engineering Capital Plan. Serving as a key liaison to the area Business and Operations Leaders ensuring Capital Project Execution and Deliverables are in alignment with the capital investment plan.Ensures Capital Project execution is executed utilizing standards and tools for the corporation to assure business objectives and strategic goals are met. Applies standards, guidelines, and best practices to meet the timing, budgetary, and functional needs of each project. Key stakeholder for the Company EPPM system.Provides leadership, coaching and direction to direct reports. Provides sites with SME project support on capital projects.Direct Project Manage of large capital efforts.Provides capital project planning and execution for manufacturing, laboratory, and other areas of the business with a significant component of new site development or new product growth. Directly responsible for large complex capital projects >$5M.Works with Solventum business partners to ensure area engineering alignment with business plans, and collaborates with other engineering/Manufacturing department managers to develop engineering resourcing strategies required to achieve Solventum global business objectives.Provides direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching, training, development, allocating work assignment, review of progress in achieving objectives managing employee compensation, performance appraisals, diversity, disability, all relevant employee data, etc. Understands and enforces corporate/location policies and procedures. May manage workforce vendors and contracts.Manages processes with large component of risk such as OSHA covered (1910-119 list), highly regulated, or hazardous components/operations (PSM managed processes). Protects the company's employees, assets, and intellectual property.Ensures compliance to environmental, health, safety, regulatory, intellectual property and accounting requirements.Provides leadership to Solventum Engineering through engineering sponsored committees, technical organizations, and Engineering Council.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 10 years of experience in Capital management, Project management and people leadership in a private, public, government or military environment.ORHigh School Diploma/GED and 14 years of experience in Capital management, Project management and people leadership in a private, public, government or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree in related discipline from an accredited institutionLean Six Sigma experience/accreditationTwo (2) years' Managerial experience leading technical teams.Experience leading large cross-functional projects and an expert in using project management skills to motivate and align resourcesDemonstratable Business and Financials Acumen / KnowledgeProven ability to successfully influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to drive decisions across all levels of the organizationAbility to operate at Strategic and Operational levelsStrong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to drive for results while navigating ambiguityWork location:Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 2 days per week.Travel: May include up to 50% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment...Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
