Here, you will make an impact by:Supporting solutions of optical films, adhesives, materials, and other novel combinations in Display Materials and Systems DivisionExecuting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects through robust product design including product testing, data analysis and reportingLeading and supporting Change Managed (CMP) projects through appropriate risk analysis (FMEA) and addressing key risksResponding to customers as needed (product development and customer specifications, complaints and CAPA, key account managementincluding customer agreements, data analysis, etc.)Leading continual quality improvement projects to improve quality and reduce Defective Parts per Million (DPPM)Leading quality tool usage within project teamsManaging customer complaints in 3M Customer Issue Resolution (CIR) system within product responsibility areaDeveloping test methods: documentation, training, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), round robinsDeveloping visual reference standards, visual test methods, and align visual detection systemsExecute product qualification planning, testing, and analysisLeading the development of Quality Functional Deployment (QFD), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Control PlansDocumenting and improving the Quality Management SystemYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of experience working or interning in a Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, Product development and/or Manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environmentThree (3) years of experience in the use of statistical tools in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Statistics or related discipline from an accredited institutionMinimum 5 years of Quality Engineering and/or Product EngineeringExperience in ManufacturingExperience leading cross-functional teams and/or projectsLean Six Sigma training with proven ability to understand and apply Lean Six Sigma and other quality tools to product, systems and process problemsWorking knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standardsTest method development experienceExcellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)Established decision-making and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with proven ability to apply innovative solutions to problemsWork location:Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center Maplewood, MN at least 2 days per week)Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life oth physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
