Aerotek Maintenance Electrician in Marengo, Illinois

Job Description

Safety:

  • Inspect production equipment and plant facilities to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Perform the duties of Maintenance Mechanic in a safe manner.

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Immediately repair all production equipment as required.

  • Implement and execute Preventative Maintenance Schedules.

  • Perform troubleshooting, breakdown repairs, and preventative and predictive reporting of maintenance work performed.

  • Complete work orders, accurate time tracking, and parts consumption reports.

Housekeeping:

  • Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of the work area(s).

Hard Skills

  • Around 2 years of working with a range of voltage from 480v to low voltage of 24v

  • Around 2 years of reading and understanding the flow of blueprints

  • Troubleshooting experience

  • Around 2 years of industrial experience with but not limited to stamping machines, brake presses and CNC machines

  • Around 2 years of schematic use

  • Knowledge of sensors, bearings, gear boxes, chains, sprockets, pneumatics, basic fasteners and applications

  • Experience with power tools like cut off wheels

  • Possess basic electrician tools like a multi-meter, electrical PPE, torque wrenches

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a loud and dusty environment

  • Comfortable with objective and direct communication

  • Willingness to follow instructions from different departments

  • Not afraid to get clothes dirty during machine repairs
