M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Per Ohio Revised Code 5901.07, must be a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States who received an honorable discharge, as defined in 5901.01. Honorable discharge is required for all periods served. Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. Able to obtain accreditation/certification as a Veterans Service Officer with Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) and all National Veterans Service Organizations. Able to obtain access to Department of Veterans Affairs' computer systems. Valid State Driver's License. Must pass and maintain required background investigation. PREFERRED SKILLS/COMPENTENCIES: Possess in-depth knowledge of veteran benefits and programs at the National, State, and Local level. Possess above-average writing and verbal skills. Strong organizational expertise and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in computer use, including applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Ability to conduct public presentations to various community groups and veterans organizations.
