Summary: The CT Tech performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for CT imaging studies from neonates to geriatrics. This individual will operateCT scanner and computer to produce images of specific areato aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Tech shall dealdirectly with theRadiologist or Cardiologistswith regard to CT scan protocol and scan sequence. The Tech shallprovide patient instruction of procedure method. Additionally, the Tech shall injectIV contrast for organ enhancement, under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner. The Tech is responsible for additional duties as assigned.

Requirements: Documented training and experience in CT and documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection is required. Candidates hired from outside the hospital, must have a minimum of one year experience in CT scan applications. Candidate must possess willingness and aptitude to process computer-assisted images and learn cross sectional anatomy. Passing an advanced examination for CT certification is recommended, not required.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid and active ARRT registered Radiography (R) and/or Computed Tomography (CT) certified and/or NMTCB Registered (CNMT) technologist AHA BLSrequired.
