You will provide overall site sourcing support to assigned product lines and execute defined metrics for both NPI (new product introduction) programs and mass production products. #LI-ML2

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Represent Sourcing during scheduled functional reviews and prepare Sourcing Review templates for leadership Business Reviews for NPI programs

  • Engage with Supplier Quality Engineers to drive a robust process on Supplier Selection, Supplier qualification and monitoring Supplier Performance KPIs in order to develop supply base ability to deliver value

  • Work effectively with technology, supplier quality, site materials and supply chain personnel on day-to-day problem resolutions, engineering change process and improvement opportunities

  • Lead assigned sourcing initiatives and develop sourcing strategy to drive product lines deflation, sole source elimination, supplier early engagement, supplier on time delivery, supplier MOQ/lead-time reduction/VMI programs.

  • Partner with key commodity sourcing leaders to align sourcing strategy, initiatives and leverage volumes globally and regionally

  • Engage the business leadership team to develop sourcing programs / processes

  • Conduct qualification & competitive analysis of vendor products / services

  • Develop, plan, and manage programs to meet GE purchasing commitments in Sourcing

  • Manage the complete purchasing and contracts ( MSA, NDA and Bailments)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Management)

  • Minimum of 5 years Sourcing / Purchasing experience in a major industrial environment

  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited, reference verification and background check.

  • Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization, or obtain work authorization in the short term.

  • Proven change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and problem-solving skills

  • Minimum of 10 years strategic sourcing experience

  • Knowledge/expertise of Grid Automation product lines, electronic components and mechanical assemblies

  • Ability to collaborate with remote team across time zones

  • Solid oral/written communication and influencing skills

  • Interpretation of purchasing contracts, industry standards, regulatory requirement documents

  • Project management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Expertise with negotiations and related analytical skills

  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Windows, Excel)

  • Leadership skills and ability to direct a cross functional team

  • Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily

  • Exposure to international contract agreements

  • Highly motivated, self-directed and self-sufficient

  • Purchasing system / Oracle experience
