Job Title: Machinist Supervisor
Job Description
You will report to our Production Manager in the Production department. After the Machining team receives work orders from our Production Manager, our Lead Machinist delegates work depending on specialty, complexity, availability, etc. Our Warehouse team will deliver the materials you need directly to your workstation. Use our shop computer to record hours spent on work orders. You’ll scan your badge to start and end your day and as you begin and complete jobs. Read and thoroughly understand a work order by reviewing product blueprints available on our shop computer. Program machines based on work order specifications, including setting up tooling and adjusting settings for optimal performance. Operate lathe machines to create precision components as per specifications. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Perform test runs to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. Inspect and monitor parts throughout fabrication, ensuring they meet quality standards before being passed on to the next department in the production process. Maintain, organize, and clean equipment in your work area to not compromise safety. Notify the Production Manager when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Report to the Production Manager in the Production department.
Delegate work orders based on specialty, complexity, and availability.
Receive materials directly at your workstation from the Warehouse team.
Record hours spent on work orders using the shop computer.

Read and thoroughly understand work orders by reviewing product blueprints.
Program machines according to work order specifications, set up tooling, and adjust settings for optimal performance.
Operate lathe machines to create precision components as per specifications.

Perform test runs to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications.
Inspect and monitor parts throughout fabrication to ensure they meet quality standards.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Solid understanding of machining processes and techniques.
Experience in operating CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines.
Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in various forms.
Strong attention to detail.
Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program.
At least 4 - 6 years of experience in operating CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines.
Strong understanding of machinery operation and maintenance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $48.00/hr.
