Description:
Position Purpose:
Supply Tech 2 is responsible for daily task of pulling empty bins from clinical areas, refilling and delivering that are part of a Supply Tech 1 position. In addition, they perform those functions in clinical invasive areas of Surgery, Interventional Radiology, and Cath Lab. Supply Tech 2 will also be responsible for delivering supplies to off-site locations using Ministry vehicles with lift gate.
What you will Do:
Transporting Cylinder tanks to various locations throughout the hospital
Must comply to all PPE standards required for invasive areas
Operates as the "go to" person for supply needs in invasive clinical areas and be the first contact for supply issues or needs.
Foster an environment of PDCA in their daily work activities. Support of PEX activities and lean training
Attends daily huddles in supply chain and at least one staff huddle in each invasive service area a week.
Must build and foster a strong supporting relationship with each invasive clinical area leader, with those leaders providing feedback to performance evaluations
Meets productivity/ work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge by completing scheduled work in allotted timeframe.
Maintains required department confidentiality and abides by HIPPA regulations.
Provides competent patient care to the above indicated patient populations by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments.
Hours/Schedule:
Full Time - Days - 7:00 - 3:30 including occasional Saturday's
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High School diploma or certificate preferred
Experience:
Previous delivery experience preferred
Must be able to perform all essential functions of Supply Tech 1 or have Supply Logistic experience from a related industry.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Must have a valid IA driver's license
Must be dependable and work flexible hours
Must be able to plan and organize work duties and be alert to safety hazards.
Must be able to work with team to accomplish goals
Requires flexibility, weekend availability
