Works with production and quality team members to identify and mitigate risks, support and ensure equipment is being operated safely, processes are being run by procedure and the weekly production schedule is met. Develops manufacturing standards. Reports and monitors product area quality, scrap, and rework performance, developing root cause and corrective action when required. Assist in engineering projects/capital projects for new processes. Is expected to spend 75% of time on manufacturing floor providing engineering tech support. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Include the following and other duties maybe assigned. Works safely and supports safety within their team and across the organization Engineering support- 80% * Works with production teams to ensure correct procedures and work instructions are in place and followed * Understands processes, equipment functionality and desired outcome. * Coaching and Developing Others / Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. * Guides reduction efforts for reduction of Mfg. Cost and Cost of poor quality * Interprets drawing and spec requirements and translates into robust manufacturing processes * Assesses safety requirements and makes recommendations to integrate improvements to processes and equipment * Reviews process scrap and works with the Quality Department to identify quality issues and develops corrective actions * Reviews status of production schedule with teams * Reviews & coordinates MPDs with team * Reviews previous shifts production for interruptions.
