GE Vernova Senior Project Manager – Advanced Nuclear in Masovian, Poland

Job Description Summary

As the Senior Project Manager – Advanced Nuclear, you will provide project management oversight for the execution of an advanced nuclear plant design and licensing in support of a commercial project. You will work collaboratively with the Project Director and Poland Country Leader to define requirements and deliver high quality outcomes for BWRX-300 projects in Poland. The ideal candidate is a leader with passion for nuclear energy, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive successful project outcomes.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Builds collaborative relationships with customers and project subcontractors and partners.

  • Leads advanced nuclear project execution, initially focused on establishing local design efforts in Poland and driving performance to deliver BWRX-300 plants.

  • Communicates project requirements and specifications effectively to the project team and subcontractor partners.

  • Partners with commercial team to define scope and negotiate effective project contracts.

  • Monitors project cost and schedule progress related to design efforts and takes actions to address variances.

  • Manages project risks and scope changes while rapidly addressing other project issues.

  • Ensures project quality and adherence to standards and requirements.

  • Ensures customer invoicing is accurate and timely

  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how their project integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

  • Works to build consensus, influences a matrixed project team and stakeholders. Mentors project team as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Significant experience in Project Management

  • Proven experience in managing medium- to large-scale projects (with multi-disciplinary team and project).

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Fluency in Polish and English language, in writing and speaking

  • Readiness to hybrid mode of work (presence in the office min. 2 days a week)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel (25%)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Nuclear industry experience, especially regarding Polish laws, regulations, and permitting processes for nuclear projects

  • Experience with commercial negotiations

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve complex problems

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers, partners, and team members

  • Ability to distill complexinformation and focus on critical priorities

  • Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy, based on bestavailable information

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment

  • Well-developed planning and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

  • Graduate of a GE technical or leadership program, such as PMLP or JOLP
