PROFESSIONAL PLACEMENT SERVICE LLC Accounts Payable Assistant in Massillon, Ohio

This position will assist with the Accounts Payable functions including day to-day invoice processing functions as well as monthly and yearly processes. This position works with and reports to the senior controller to assist in various accounting tasks as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Accounting

  • GL coding of invoices, entering invoices/credits, entering PO invoices
  • Create check payments to vendors / send PosiPay file to bank
  • Journal entries / account reconciliations / AP corrections as necessary
  • Cash control spreadsheet / bank reconciliations
  • Expense report entry
  • Assist with audits (workers comp, unemployment, 401K)
  • Enter and update vendor deposits in Navision -- work with controller
  • Enter intercompany invoices into Navision
  • Projects relating to Accounting as required
  • Payroll Processing

Education and/or Related Experience

Degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related area is required for this position. Minimum Five (3) years of experience in related controlling responsibilities or a combination of education and experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is favorable, []{#_Hlk51681321}very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must. Very good interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary.

Analytical and language Skills

[]{#_Hlk51759839}Must have the capacity to explain financial reports in a simple straightforward way to all different hierarchical levels. Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales orders and product manuals. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, auditors and other employees of the organization. Should be comfortable in making customer and financial presentations.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages. Capacity to analyze data to identify trends.

Reasoning Ability

Must be able to absorb large amounts of information in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
