Fleet Maintenance Manager As a Fleet Service Manager, you'll prioritize and execute managing all fleet maintenance activities for the US and Canada market. You'll overseeing budgets, vendors, suppliers, contractors in a maintenance setting. Your knowledge of heavy-duty trucks will allow you to understand service-related issues, maintain high standards in maintenance settings and ensure all safety standards are being upheld. Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment and continually focuses on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all maintenance activities, including cost control, management development, and high training and safety standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities Technical Maintenance Responsible for the management and implementation of fleet maintenance in accordance with the business plan and budget. Implement and drive company-wide usage of fleet computerized maintenance management systems. Develop and refine Preventative and Predictive Maintenance with Bulk Systems engineering. Ensure Critical Pump Management System Inspections are carried out in accordance with corporate standards. Manages field maintenance operations, ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of equipment at all maintenance sites. Remains current and ensures adherence to all laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting area of responsibility. (DOT, OSHA, MSHA, etc.) Strategic Planning Evaluates vehicles and equipment to assess replacement due to age, history of repair and overall maintenance costs. Audits the cleanliness and maintenance of the maintenance shops through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs. Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements. Performs data analysis, prepares reports and makes recommendations for field maintenance facility operations improvements. Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs. Managing Maintenance teams Communicate regularly with all maintenance supervisors, operations managers and engineering to ensure good two-way communication. Ensures that all personnel are adequately trained and equipped to accomplished set goals in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Continually focuses on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all fleet and maintenance activities, including cost control, employee development, and high training and safety standards. Works with LLCs and locations to ensure maintenance shops are adequately staffed, and mechanics are properly trained. Conducts and / or attends and contributes to periodic driver / safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency. Education and Experience College Degree or High School and specialized training 5 to 7 years' experience may be accepted in lieu of degree Driver's License Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Prior knowledge of fleet maintenance systems and processes. Fleet maintenance experience with a decentralized customer base. Understanding of metrics that drive fleet maintenance performance. Ability to create actionable items out of data and information. Strategic planning, coupled with tactical execution. Able to apply standards and processes that maintain regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and personnel development skills. Ability to work across business lines. Ability to use computer and applicable company software. Proficient in MS Office Applications - MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Teams.
