We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Catalyst team in McIntyre, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.
The Engineering Manager is responsible for all technical engineering functions for the McIntyre site. This includes direct responsibilities for the following individuals: Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, and Senior Network Engineer. In addition, this position is responsible for all Project Engineering functions including 2 contract engineers (project engineer & construction management) and the capital budget for the site.
The Engineering Manager works closely with maintenance, operations, and site leadership to ensure the needs of the site and the business are met by allocating engineering resources to improve the overall operations and reliability of the site.

Managing the capital budget.
Prioritizing all engineering efforts with operations and maintenance input.
Maximizing the efficiency of plant equipment.
Executing all capital projects safely and within budget.
Ensuring safety policies are followed, and they comply with BASF and regulatory policies.
Formulating and managing the maintenance and capital budgets in coordination with business and site leadership.
Participating in and implement MOCs (Management of Change), PSSRs (Pre-Startup Safety Review), PHAs (Process Hazard Analysis), and PSM (Process Safety Management) processes as required.
Being accountable for maintenance / reliability decisions in support of plant reliability and availability.
The plant operates in a 24x7 operation. From time to time, plant operations will require flexibility in work schedule to work hours outside a normal day shift type position. The position has a high demand for technical (process safety, personnel safety, mechanical, and environmental) skills, leadership skills and change management orientation in a union environment.
If you...
Have a 4-year engineering degree and at least 7 years of manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility in technical roles.
Are proactive, motivated, a self-starter capable of working with limited supervision and have the ability to lead and motivate employees.
Have a proven track record of accomplishments in a plant environment including project management.
Demonstrate teamwork and leadership skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Possess proficiency in active listening, training, coaching, and developing employees for improved performance.
Have the ability to appraise performance, including developing talent within the organization and identifying issues and problem solving.
