Raytheon is seeking a seasoned professional with exceptional leadership skills for our Associate Director, Quality Systems Compliance position.

The effective candidate will be a leader in the Raytheon Compliance Internal Audit Team. This position will have audit managers and auditors reporting to them and will periodically be performing audits as well. The candidate will work with all levels of the Raytheon Organization to ensure Quality Management System (QMS) requirements across programs, functions, and sites are compliant. The role requires a strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.

This position is an onsite position. The effective candidate must reside in one of the following locations:

  • Tucson, AZ (preferred)

  • El Segundo, CA

  • McKinney, TX

    What You Will Do

  • Responsible for Audit Team leaders and members that develop, conduct, and support audits including providing feedback on noncompliance and corrective actions.

  • Lead, conduct, and plan internal QMS audits for compliance to the AS9100 series of standards in support of Raytheon’s Enterprise Quality Management System at Raytheon Sites.

  • Perform all formal responsibilities of a Lead Auditor such as audit team selection; audit planning; representing the audit team with Raytheon site leadership; conducting opening and closing meetings and daily debriefs with management; completing an audit report and issuing, reviewing, and approving formal corrective actions.

  • Analyze audit performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement; recommend and facilitate Enterprise level improvement initiatives and actions.

  • Conduct comprehensive audit preparation and planning based on historical and current performance data.

  • Schedule Internal Audits based on risk and in support of Certification Body, Enterprise and other applicable audits while ensuring each Raytheon site has a full QMS audit annually.

  • Guide coverage of ISO9001 / AS9100 requirements.

  • Conduct extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems. Problems are frequently difficult and complex, and typically involve multiple sites, geographies, products and / or customers.

  • Oversee remote teams.

  • Travel up to 50% - 60%.

    Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.

  • Minimum 10 years working experience with leading internal audits.

  • Minimum 10 years working experience with corrective action processes.

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in corrective action system.

  • Minimum 10 years working experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100.

  • Minimum 10 years guiding corrective actions to closure.

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or alike certification required.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Prefer

  • Industry Certification as authenticated Aerospace Experienced Auditor (Probitas Authentication).

  • Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) Certification.

  • Working knowledge of Raytheon Corrective Action System (RCAS).

  • Working knowledge of Raytheon Command Media and process.

  • Mentor personnel across the business in writing effective corrective actions.

  • Ability to lead business level projects to effective completion.

  • Communicate with parties within and outside of own organization, including customers.

  • Ability to influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and action processes.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
